Senior VoIP Systems Engineer

Job Description and Requirements

Plan, design, build, test, debug, implement, maintain custom VoIP based infrastructure. Responsibility of building and leading a team of engineers/programmers that will grow with the company.

Through understanding of SIPv2 protocol and related network components (Proxy, SBC, Softswitch, etc.)
Through understanding of IP based network systems and protocols
Understanding of NAT, PAT, Firewall issues as they relate to VoIP
Ability to trace and troubleshoot VoIP sessions at the packet level
Working knowledge of C, Perl, PHP
Experience with Asterisk and Sip Express Router (SER) at the source code level
Experience with Cisco IOS Voice routers (Dial-Peer, H.323, ISDN, etc.)
Experience in interfacing with call routing / rating / billing systems
Understanding of Linux based operating systems
Experience with RDBMS (MySQL a plus)
Experience with high availability clustering and load balancing
